Maxim S. Calda is Xinphonix
By the end of 2023, Maxim found himself in between projects. With an open mind, he began experimenting in his studio with electronics, drawing inspiration from his clubbing experiences, DJ parties with friends, and his strong electronic roots. These roots had always remained with him, and the desire to create electronic music had never waned. Additionally, he ventured into making several remixes for other projects and artists. Seemingly out of nowhere, the song “Jack-a-Loop XOXO” emerged, marking the birth of XINPHONIX.
Maxim’s familiarity with electronic music and the dancefloor was evident from the beginning of his music career. His first music project, G-GAP, also had many strong elements of dance music, and he had attended countless raves and parties throughout his life, a tradition he continues to this day. His music productions always featured drum machines, synthesizers, and multi-track recordings.
Drawing inspiration from both vintage and contemporary electronic sounds, XINPHONIX is an experimental project focused on exploration, enjoyment, and pushing the boundaries of the dancefloor and beyond into ambient realms. Also influenced by iconic acts such as The Orb, Yello, The Future Sound of London, Orbital, and many others, XINPHONIX is also part of a larger fantasy story conceived by Maxim, known as “Xinnertrip to Xinthopia.”
Xinthopia is a virtual state of mind, a fantasy world with an ongoing soundtrack provided by a magical sonix system device called XINPHONIX. It is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in all kinds of ideas, dreams, and illusions, known as “Xins,” that they secretly desire. A ‘Xensational’ journey to Xinthopia and through the ‘Xinnermind,’ the most desired state within Xinthopia, is meant to awaken one’s ‘Xinner child’ and ‘Xinner feelings,’ providing an escape from daily life.
Xinthopia and its XINPHONIX sonix generator represent a new creative chapter in the sound and vision catalog of Maxim S. Calda.

'Jack-a-Loop XOXO'
A Jack-a-loop XOXO is a mythical symbiotic creature between a Jackalope and a field recording device. It belongs to the genus Lepus antilocapra sonus apparatus hybridus and is native to the federation of Xinthopia. Descended from the legen-dary Jackalope, a Jack-a-loop XOXO possesses both transmitter and receiver functions, complete with analogue Jack inputs and outputs, and an antler serving as its antenna. Some recordings suggest that the Jack-a-loop XOXO may be just a polymorphic state of an X-otic Jackrabbit mutant or biological freak. Other recordings speak of an alteration of visual perception of a white Jackrabbit which is found in a way that the sizes of body parts or sizes of X-ternal objects are perceived incorrectly. The most common perceptions are at nocturne, often spotted in an unconscious state of mind by a girl called Alice. Alice, I hear you wonder? Alice who? X-actly, who the f@ck is Alice? And who’s speaking, anyway? It may all sound like a flight with Jefferson on a plane that is still flying high… Or maybe you’re reading this or you are listening to this recording, and you all find it sound like a delusional lasting dream, of a sleepy dormouse. Or you may wonder what ‘off earth’ kinda X-press train did I step on? For all we know it is all in the Xinnermind. But you be the judge of that, because here in Xinthopia you’re the observer, it’s your own mind that perceives it all… And don’t you worry, we are all lunatiX here, guided and devoted by the lunar phases of our moon goddess Xauhchang E.

Our gatekeeper Jagg Ouar is X-pecting you.It’s time to free your head, fellow creature…In Xinthopia, the Jack-a-loop XOXO is revered as a sacred mystical pet and an incarnation of the Moon rabbit Tochtli and former pet rabbit of Child X. Which explains its deep lunar and moon goddess connection. Its main purpose is to monitor all the vibrations of guests in the X-federation with its antler antenna. With its unique abilities to transmit, receive, playback, and record airwaves in full stereo, the Jack-a-loop ensures that guests are enveloped in the perfect Xinthopian soundtrack through out their stay. These X-quisite soundwaves, produced by the magical XINPHONIX sonic generator via the Airforce-X network, transport visitors to realms beyond imagination. Jack-a-lopes XOXO also remind us of true value, as told by ancient history. Once there was a little Tochtli (Jackrabbit) that was unhappy with his appearance, so he went to a wizard to turn him into a powerful beast. Instead, the wizard X-plained that real value did not lie in having a strong body. To ensure the rabbit didn’t leave empty-handed, the wizard granted him a unique gift: a pair of long, deXterous ears and an antler antenna, along with a recording device. This transformation turned him into the magical Jack-a-loop XOXO. As for the enigmatic code XOXO, it holds a dual meaning: first it stands for X-iliary Jack input (O) and output (X), while both X and O represent hugs and kisses – a testament to the adoration bestowed upon these cherished creatures in Xinthopia.
